This is the last post for the 2017/2018 year for the Society and we can say it was another successful year with many achievements by our members, demonstrated each month on the stage and also the interesting array of speakers each month. Even when due to unforeseen circumstances two of our speakers were unable to make our meetings arrangements were made by our very efficient Chair and Vice Chair to have cover for some very interesting talks.
We have been transported all over the world with our guests sharing their experiences and looking at their masterpieces and being suitably impressed with their artistic skills. We have come away with many ideas and our wish lists grow ever longer, although we know we may not achieve but at least we have ideas.
We have also had the opportunity to take part in a residential which was all about wet felting and was good fun and enjoyed by those who attended. The outings which were organised were also as diverse as interesting from the excellent Knitting and Stitching at Harrogate to visiting Ripon Cathedral to see the exhibition Threads through Revelation. The day schools are also well attended where new skills are demonstrated and learnt by our members. Already there are more outings planned for the 2018/2019 season so keep your eyes open to make sure you do not miss out.
We show our members latest accomplishments from the stage this month.
