Fabric Face Masks
The govt. have asked us all to wear face coverings on public transport and in situations where we cannot socially distance. I am sure EYES members will be making their own and distributing these to friends and family. WHO have given guidance for the best type of fabric mask. It should be ;
- made of 3 layers
- outer layer waterproof/resistant fabric
- inner layer filter ie polyester lining
- 3rd layer close to face, absorbent fabric ie cotton
Masks need to be kept in a sealed plastic bag and washed after use.
These masks are not medical masks but provide those around us with a level of protection should we carry the virus without symptoms.
Stay Alert and Stay Well.
