Val B has completed her piece started at the Mary Gamester workshop.

Deborah has completed a set off Traffic Light blankets for Calderdale Hospital Prem Baby Unit.

Red is for very sick babies enabling them to be identified quickly on the ward amber and green as per traffic lights.

Having been set a challenge by our Chair  EYES members never disappoint. A large and varied display of handiwork of items made from fabrics purchased from our sales table.

EYES members have been very busy over the August break. A wide variety of textile work demonstrates this. Christmas items have made their way onto the stage too.

An experiment using acrylics and masking tape and dyeing. The embroidery was added to define the patterns created.

Shield awarded at the Northern Quilt Festival Harrogate for first prize in Group Quilt Section

Success for EYES members at Harrogate, Hilary Goldsmith achieved an award in the small quilt category whilst the Rainbow Quilt and the Slice Quilt both achieved accolades in the group quilt categories.

Rainbow quilt  completed by EYES members for the May Exhibition held at Beverley Minster. Rosette awarded for second prize.

Another smaller than usual display as members are fully committed to our Minster Exhibition. Nonetheless a wonderful variety of work and talent displayed. Someone is even looking ahead to Christmas ! Check out the Father Christmas figure with its intricate embroidery.
