We had a very eventful day on the 18th May where a number of members all joined together to experiment and learn new skills despite the horrendous weather outside.
Thanks to Chris Hart there was a group who produced a bag, the majority completed in the day and also managed to create a small purse to accompany the bag. Hazel also led a group in foundation paper piecing and some very fine lighthouses were achieved. These could be used as part of a bigger project a cushion or even a picture for the wall. The third group learned the technique of reversible quilt as you go.
It was a long and enjoyable day enjoyed by everyone and we were looked after very well by Paula and Ann who kept us supplied with drinks and a lovely supply of home baking. Photographs below show some of the work achieved by the group.
